1. Your content is yours
Footage, audio, slates, stills, notes, chat messages, viewer names and any other content created, recorded or shown with the abby. or Abby Monitor ("Production Content") belong to the production, or to whoever owns them under the production's agreements. Using our software gives us no rights to it.
2. We don't access it
The abby. stores Production Content on the operator's Mac and drives the operator chooses. Abby Monitor sends it only between devices and that Mac on the set's network. Abby Video LLC runs no servers that receive, store or relay Production Content, and doesn't have access to it.
3. We never use it for marketing
Abby Video LLC does not use Production Content, or any production's name, footage, stills or chat contents, in marketing, demos, screenshots or training, without that production's prior written permission. Our website and videos use illustrations and test signals only.
4. If you send us something for support
Crash reports contain technical information, not footage. If you choose to send us a file to help fix a problem, we'll use it only for that, keep it confidential, and delete it when we're done.
5. If Abby Video LLC works on your set
When Abby Video LLC provides an operator or on-set services, we treat everything we see and hear as confidential, follow the production's confidentiality rules and NDAs, and keep no copies of footage after the job unless the production asks us to in writing. 6. Tools that help productions
- Only devices the operator approves can watch.
- Pictures and messages are encrypted end to end.
- The picture can blank while a device is screen recording.
- Each viewer's name can appear faintly on their picture.
- Viewers can't download takes.
No software can stop someone filming a screen with another camera. These tools make leaks harder and traceable. They don't make them impossible.
